In 2002, with a $1 million grant from the National Institute on Drug Abuse, SMART Recovery introduced the InsideOut: A SMART Recovery Correctional Program®. These are meetings adapted specially for people in correctional facilities. Today, InsideOut meetings are being held worldwide.
